The registration with the grid operator has to be out before the system goes into operation. Switch on first and register afterwards and the one-off feed-in subsidy is as a rule lost — on a system of around 10 kWp we are talking about roughly CHF 3'700 to 4'150. That is not an amount a business absorbs as a goodwill gesture, and it is not a mistake anyone wants to explain to a customer.
