Electrician software for Switzerland

Software for electricians in Switzerland

elektro.box is the business software for Swiss electrical contractors. Order, Rapport, hours, readings, quote and invoice are connected: captured once on site, carried through to the safety certificate and the payroll run — even with no signal in the basement.

What the software covers

One program for the whole electrical business

Office, site and accounts work in the same software with the same data. What is captured on site nobody in the office has to type in a second time.

What it looks like

Real screens, not sketches

Captured in the demo business, as the office and the electrician on site see them. A click opens the picture full size.

Signed on the device

Signed on site, not on Friday at a desk. That is what makes the Rapport binding and lets the invoice go out.

The Auftrag in his hand

Registers instead of a sidebar, the way back always top left. Usable with gloves on, not just with a steady hand.

Four registers, not a form

Einsatz, Leistung, photos, Abschluss. The clock runs alongside; the customer and the address are already there.

The same Aufträge as a board

From enquiry through Offerte to invoiced. Drag rather than type — it is the same list, looked at differently.

Invoice with Rückbehalt and deadline

Regie and fixed price in the same positions, guarantee retention as a percentage, Skonto with its date. Sent means locked — what the customer received is not edited afterwards.

What the federal register knows

EGID, year built, dwellings, heating and the roof's solar potential — from the Swiss building register, as soon as the address resolves. Below it, the Anlagen and their history.

The hours, not on Friday evening

Recorded on the job, not from memory at the weekend. The office sees the week while it is still running.

Built for electrical work

Trade software knows orders. Electrician software knows installations.

General trade software covers time tracking, the Rapport and the invoice for every trade. What an electrical business needs on top is not there: the installation with its circuits, the readings from the last inspection, the safety certificate for the grid operator and the trade's own calculation data.

  • An installation dossier with circuits and measurement runs — over years, not for one order
  • Initial verification, final inspection, acceptance inspection and periodic inspection
  • The safety certificate on the VSE 2018 form as PDF/A, emailed to the grid operator
  • Steiger calculation data straight in the quote
  • Cost per productive hour the EIT way, job levels with wage and rate
  • NIV inspection periods, with a calculator of their own

For your line of work

New build, service, inspection or photovoltaics

The software is the same, the working day is not. Each line of work has a page on what changes in the flow.

Questions

Questions about software for electricians

What does software for electricians need to do?
More than time tracking and invoicing. An electrical business needs the Rapport signed on site, quote and invoice from the same lines, readings per circuit with a measurement report and safety certificate, material at its own wholesaler terms, and hours that reach payroll without being entered twice. The guide further down goes through it in detail.
Does elektro.box work on site with no signal?
Yes. The Rapport, hours and readings are captured even in a basement with no signal and sync as soon as the phone is connected again.
Do I still need accounting software such as bexio or Abacus?
No, but you may keep it. Receivables, payables and the general ledger are built in. If you want to stay with bexio or Abacus, connect them — you change your accounting only if you want to.
Can I switch from Schoch or Messerli?
Yes. A Schoch master data sheet can be imported, with your own articles, variants and rates, and customers come across as a CSV or Excel file. What exactly comes across and what does not is set out in the comparison and in the article on switching.
What does elektro.box cost as software for electricians?
The office pays by plan (Starter, Team, Pro, Enterprise), field seats separately, apprentices free. We give you the amounts in a conversation.
Where is the data kept?
In Switzerland and the EU. The right of access under the revFADP is built in, and business records are kept for ten years as CO Art. 958f requires.
