Calculator — office workload

What does the office behind the jobs cost you?

Enter your numbers: jobs per month, minutes of office work per job, your internal hourly rate. The calculator multiplies, and that is all it does. And how much of it falls away is your setting — we have no measurement of that, so we claim none.

Your numbers

Today

Anything that leads to an invoice in the end — a service call, a refurbishment, a phase of a new build. Last month's job list is enough to go on.

Typing up the job report, gathering materials from delivery notes, writing the invoice. Estimate on the low side — you can measure the figure on a single job.

What an hour of office time actually costs you: wages, social contributions, workplace. Not the rate you charge the customer.

They count as field seats in the subscription, and the calculator uses them to show how much office work falls to one technician per month.

You set this slider, not us. We have no measurement of how much office work disappears in your business — which is why there is no number from us here. Set to 0, only the workload above remains.

Whoever writes quotes and invoices: owner, office, accountant.

Enterprise is on request and therefore not listed.

Receivables

From the day the electrician finishes until the invoice is out. Looking back at two or three invoices is enough.

What you think you can manage when the invoice comes out of the job report. That too is your number, not ours.

Only if you want to see the amount in francs. Without it the calculator shows the days and nothing else.

You set the minutes, the hourly rate and the percentage — we only multiplied. We are not promising you a saving: we have no measurement of how much office work falls away in a business like yours. Different numbers give a different result, and anyone who sets the slider to 0 sees exactly that.

Your assumption, our multiplication. What the subscription costs against it is in the next block.

The invoice goes out sooner

from 12 to 7 days

Without an invoice amount it stays at the days

Enter an average invoice amount above if you want to see how much money those days tie up.

This is liquidity, not profit

The amount does not get any bigger. It arrives sooner, and for that long it sits with you instead of with the customer. Whether your customers then pay faster is up to your customers.

What is not on this page

No average from other businesses, no percentage from us, no "businesses save on average …". We have no measurement of how much office work elektro.box saves in your business, and as long as we do not have one, we are not writing one down. What the calculator can do: multiply your own numbers cleanly and show you how it does it.

If the starting values look too high to you, set them lower. A result you would not put your own name to is no use in a conversation with your partner.

Where the time goes

Four places where office work arises — and how they run differently in the business

That is the mechanism, with no number beside it. How much it comes to for you, you see on your own jobs and nowhere else.

  1. 01

The job report is finished on site

Hours, materials and the work description are entered by the electrician where he knows them, and it is signed on the device. Typing it up in the evening falls away — not because anyone types faster, but because nobody records the same thing twice.

  2. 02

The materials are already on the job

What was taken from stock or ordered from the wholesaler hangs off the job instead of sitting in delivery notes and day-work sheets. Gathering it all up before the invoice falls away.

  3. 03

The invoice comes out of the job report

Line items, hours and materials are recorded before anybody thinks about the invoice. The document takes them over. It is still checked by hand; it is just no longer written.

  4. 04

    The incoming payment matches itself

The bank supplies camt, and the payment finds its document via the QR reference. What is unambiguous is posted; what does not add up is what still gets looked at — instead of the whole statement.

These four points describe how the software works. How many minutes that is for you is in what you entered above and not here.

A calculation, not a commitment

The calculator is a guide for a conversation in the business, not an offer and not a commitment about a saving. It does not know your mix of work, any seasonality or any exceptions — it multiplies what you entered. Measure the minutes on a few real jobs before you plan with the result.

The calculation runs entirely on your device. Nothing is transmitted and nothing is stored.

Where these minutes actually arise in the business

The job report and the invoice are the two places where most office work arises in an electrical business. Both are described here, with the process instead of a number.

Shall we work it through on your own jobs?

In half an hour we go through your last ten jobs and see where the office work really sits. There is no form for that on this page — your result above stays as it is, whether you get in touch or not.
